AN INTRODUCTION TO rev. verill richardson farqahar (retired)
AUTHOR OF 'JINGLE & BEN ' THE NEXT ADVENTURES FOR-55 YEARS & ABOVE
Bible Scholar and perpetual student, rEV. Verill Richardson Farkahar is a no-nonsense old-school communicator. He has seen both angels and much demonic activity, especially in the churches he has pastored, though the passing of his mother-in-law did seem to quieten things down a bit.
Born in 1960 to a Welsh Minor called Ayeflat and a spotty fish wife from the Rhonda, 'Feral Verill,' as he was called as a young man, became a semi-professional boxer in Cardiff. Not earning enough money from selling advertising space on the soles of his boxing boots, his doctor advised him to retire from the sport after a cauliflower bum turned septic. Thus, at the beginning of a glittering but bruisingly purple career, sickness prompted him to enter non-conformist ministry of the chapel variety. Verril says that it was a physical ailment that forced him into ministry and too many punches to the head that kept him in it. He's such a card!
A love of motorbikes from an early age and a terrible encounter with a bee at 55 miles an hour down a welsh valley road, left him with a glass eye and a need to wear a steel bowler hat and motorbike goggles wherever he goes. It is said, that Verill preached in a bowler hat and motorbike goggles for forty years! Imagine that.
A poet, Verill has been writing for forty years on subjects a diverse as 'UFO's & Ezekiel's wheel's, the first mentioned merging of flesh, metal & spirit' to 'The Mad Pixies of Wales - a Biography of Neil Kinnock,' and nowadays writes continually for the Saga generation, "those folks who still know a little bit of the Bible to be able to reference it." In all of his writings he remains athorough but as eccentric and up-to-date as you can imagine, referencing as much current inter-dimensional portals, AI, Witches , Magic and the Supernatural as you can possibly imagine. Verill says that ,"The Bible is full of the stuff! You just need to have the right goggles on to see it."
Verill's wife Carol, has a love of all things eccentric. They get on well, and despite having a vasectomy when he was 26, they have 14 children between them and 24 grandchildren. Verill does not smoke, now, but still loves blowing Bubbles in the air.
